Rosewater for Skin Care a superb skin care toner Rosewater for skin care dates back to the Victorian Times and is still used today in skin care products.
Rosewater is made from freshly picked organic roses. Thoroughly rinse in a cool water, if roses are from a florist or not grown by yourself, thus removing any pesticides. In addition, if you purchase your roses from a florist the outer petals are usually removed, allowing the roses to open more fully. The outer layers of the rose contain the most essence, therefore if purchasing roses be sure to ask that the outer layers are not removed. Gather 1 cup of packed rose petals (or rose hips) and place in a heat resistant bowl.
Pour 2 cups of spring water over the petals Let seep for 30 minutes. When the 30 minutes are up, pour the rosewater through cheesecloth or kitchen strainer into a sterilized jar. Your rosewater will keep approximately 7 to 10 days in your refrigerator.
