Beautiful skin begins with a good skin care routine and a healthy diet. A good skin care routine should be practiced every morning and evening and it consists of cleansing, toning and moisturizing/protecting the skin. Additionally, occasional facial scrubs are required to slough off dead skin and promote circulation and hydrating masks are necessary to nourish the skin. Promotion of circulation, cell regeneration and hydrating is the essence to that natural facial glow.

Gentle Facial Exfoliate
1/2 cup oatmeal or cornmeal
Plain yogurt

Mix either the oatmeal or cornmeal and the yogurt to form a paste. With your fingertips and in an upward circular motion, gently massage the paste into your skin. Rinse with warm water and then apply a toner and moisturizer.

Another alternative to the above recipe is to add cornmeal or oatmeal to your regular cleansing cream which gives an excellent exfoliation treatment.
Baking Soda Exfoliate

A highly effective in reducing redness and cleaning pores. Combine equal parts baking soda and water to make a paste. Gently rub onto face in a circular motion for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse with warm water then cool water. Follow with toner and moisturizer.
