The purpose of
body scrubs are to remove the dead layers of skin, indicated by dry, flaky or itchy skin, and bring the new cells to the surface. While showers and baths remove dirt and grime from the top of the skin they do nothing to actually remove the dry flaky dead skin on the surface. Because body scrubs are abrasive, they do wonders to eliminate the dry, flaky skin on the surface and give your skin a polished glow. Below are a couple of
body scrub recipes which can be altered to your skin type. For instance, if you have sensitive skin, you may want to use a fine sea salt versus a larger grade sea salt. Additionally, you can mix and match your essential oils to the fragrances you prefer.
When using your body scrub, use a loofah sponge for best results. As with any new skin care product, a patch test is recommended.
